After needs assessments were conducted with member companies, the Anti-Corruption Collective Action (ACCA) project was officially launched on September 27, 2023, with the Inaugural Anti-Corruption Sub-Committee Meeting attended by more than 40 participants.

Mission

The aim is to enhance collective anti-corruption efforts in the Thai business sector by fostering dialogue and collaboration between the private sector and Government and by building the capacity of private-sector actors, especially SMEs in supply chains, to develop and implement anti-corruption tools.

Collaborative efforts

Network Thailand recently partnered with the Office of Public Sector Anti-Corruption Commission (PACC) and the Thai Institute of Directors (IOD) to enhance private-sector engagement in national anti-corruption policies, improve transparency and efficiency in Government interactions and support state measures that incentivize integrity and voluntary anti-corruption initiatives for companies.

Looking ahead

Building on the project's collaborative efforts, Network Thailand and its partners have developed a comprehensive strategy to further combat corruption and promote business integrity in Thailand. The following initiatives will focus on two key areas – streamlining business processes to reduce corruption risks and incentivizing ethical business practices.

Main accomplishments

  • Conducted needs assessments and one-on-one consultations with more than 20 member companies on anti-corruption challenges and Collective Action expectations.

  • Established an Anti-Corruption Sub-Committee serving as a Quarterly Learning Hub for sharing good practices with industry peers and steering future integrity initiatives.
  • Signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Office of Public Sector Anti-Corruption Commission and the Thai Institute of Directors Association (IOD) to enhance private-sector engagement in addressing corruption issues.
