Coming soon
The Bribery Prevention Network (BPN) was launched in 2020 as a public-private partnership hosted by the Global Compact Network Australia. The BPN aims to support Australian businesses in preventing, detecting, and addressing bribery and corruption while promoting a culture of compliance. Through its collaborative efforts, the BPN provides businesses with free, reliable, and accessible anti-bribery resources tailored to the evolving needs of the Australian business community.
Mission
The Bribery Prevention Network’s mission is to empower Australian businesses to prevent and address bribery and corruption risks in both domestic and international markets. By engaging diverse stakeholders across public, private, and civil society sectors, the BPN fosters a culture of compliance and integrity. Its online portal serves as a curated hub of high-quality resources, developed by leading anti-bribery experts, to help businesses mitigate risks and promote ethical practices. The BPN supports the Global Compact Network Australia's annual Dialogue on Bribery and Corruption; a national multi-sector, multi-stakeholder forum dedicated to advancing the Australian anti-bribery and corruption agenda.
Collaborative efforts
The Bribery Prevention Network is a collaboration between key partners, including the Australian Federal Police, Allens, the Australian Government’s Attorney General’s Department, ANZ Banking Group, BHP Group, KPMG, Macquarie Group, the Minerals Council of Australia, National Australia Bank, Transparency International Australia, Westpac Banking Corporation, and the Global Compact Network Australia. These organizations provide funding and in-kind assistance, ensuring the BPN's sustainability and impact.
Looking ahead
With its foundational structures and resources in place, the Bribery Prevention Network is now focused on expanding its reach to Australian small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Efforts are underway to better leverage existing partnerships and resources to ensure the initiative effectively meets the needs of its target beneficiaries.
